BES will have meet the teacher on Friday, August 7 at various times.
BMS will have open house Friday, August 7 from 1-3 p.m.
TRM will have open house orientation on Thursday, August 6, at 5 p.m. for Freshmen and new students. 10-12th grades will meet at 6 p.m.
Faculty and staff will have inservice on Tuesday, August 4.
The first day of school for students will be Monday, August 10.
Since joining Brewton City Schools in October 2024, Dr. Wieseman has led our district through an incredible period of growth and achievement. Under his leadership:
• Every Brewton City School earned an "A" on the 2025–2026 Alabama State Report Card.
• Brewton Elementary School achieved an outstanding 99% Third Grade Reading Proficiency, ranking among the Top 3 school systems in Alabama.
• The district has continued to strengthen student achievement, improve instructional practices, and foster a culture of excellence across our schools.
Congratulations, Dr. Wieseman! We appreciate the vision, leadership, and commitment you bring to Brewton City Schools each day. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to all that lies ahead.

January is School Board Recognition month. While we thank and appreciate our school board every month, today and this month specifically, we set this time to honor their hard work and what they do for our system and our community. Brewton City Schools is pleased to share the 2025 State Report Card results released by the Alabama State Department of Education. Each of our schools earned an A, and the district earned an overall A with a score of 94.
These results reflect the continued commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and administrators, as well as the support of our families and community. We will use this data, along with our ongoing assessment and improvement processes, to strengthen instruction and maintain high expectations for every learner.
