January is School Board Recognition month. While we thank and appreciate our school board every month, today and this month specifically, we set this time to honor their hard work and what they do for our system and our community. Thank you Mr. Weaver, Mr. Megginson, Mrs. Watson, Mrs. Peach and Mrs. Brundidge for your time and dedication.

Those selected were:
At BES, first grade teacher Mrs. Dana Rowell.
At BMS, band director Mrs. Jacquelyn Rhodes.
At TRM, math teacher Mrs. Ashley Salter.
Congratulations to our winners.

Brewton City Schools is pleased to share the 2025 State Report Card results released by the Alabama State Department of Education. Each of our schools earned an A, and the district earned an overall A with a score of 94.
These results reflect the continued commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and administrators, as well as the support of our families and community. We will use this data, along with our ongoing assessment and improvement processes, to strengthen instruction and maintain high expectations for every learner.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to the success of Brewton City Schools. Our work continues, and we remain focused on Everybody Learning, Every Day.

We appreciate you Mrs. Thompson (BES), Dr. Lett (BMS), and Dr. Aldridge (TRM)

BCS Updates:
BCS will continue with the dress code that was revised before the start of the school year last year (7/15/2024).
Also, the BCS BOE will discuss a revision in policy to address the recent legislation act passed in May, known as the FOCUS ACT. This prohibits the use of personal electronic devices during the instructional day. This will be looked at at the next board meeting which is Monday, July 28, at 5 p.m. in the BCS Board Room.
