They will be given out on the first day of school.

Please take a moment to complete the mandatory Alabama Parent Survey — it only has 8 short questions and helps improve services for students with disabilities. T.R. Miller High School will have their 2025 Graduation Ceremony Friday, May 23.
The ceremony will take place at the Brewton Municipal Stadium Football Field (not at Coastal Alabama Community College) at 7 p.m.
Admission is by ticket only.

Brewton, Alabama — Monday, May 12, 2025
Brewton City Schools and T.R. Miller High School administration have addressed an incident involving a student found in possession of a taser on campus earlier today.
School staff became aware of a possible safety concern and immediately followed established safety protocols. The student was promptly located, and the taser was confiscated without incident. The device was not used, and no injuries were reported.
The incident was reported to the Brewton Police Department, and the student’s guardians were contacted immediately. Appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken in accordance with school policy and in collaboration with law enforcement, as necessary.
We are reviewing procedures to support continued campus safety and to reinforce expectations regarding prohibited items on school property.
Brewton City Schools and T.R. Miller High School remains committed to transparency and the well-being of all students. We appreciate the cooperation of our students, families, and staff as we work together to maintain a safe and supportive school environment.
Brewton City Schools will have a 1 p.m. dismissal on Thursday, May 22 (the last day of school)

T.R. Miller High School Welcomes New Principal, Dr. Adam Aldridge
Brewton, AL – T.R. Miller High School is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Adam Aldridge as its new principal. Dr. Aldridge brings with him two decades of experience in education, a deep commitment to student success, and a strong background in leadership and curriculum development. During his last four years as principal, Dr. Aldridge has led the school to three consecutive “A’s” on the State Report Card.
A native of Winfield, Alabama, Dr. Aldridge is a 2000 graduate of Winfield High School. He currently serves as principal of Winfield High School, where he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a passion for fostering academic excellence and student achievement.
Dr. Aldridge earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Agriculture Information Science and Education from Mississippi State University. He began his career as the high school agriculture education teacher at his alma mater, where he led his FFA chapter to multiple State Career Development Event (CDE) championships and national recognition in Forestry and Land Judging.
His dedication to education and professional growth led him to earn an Educational Specialist degree in Agriscience Education and a Doctor of Philosophy in Career and Technical Education from Auburn University. These accomplishments paved the way for a position as assistant professor in the Agricultural and Extension Education Department at New Mexico State University, where he worked as a teacher educator and student teacher supervisor. In addition to being a high school principal he is also an adjunct professor at Auburn University.
Brewton City Schools Superintendent Kevin Wieseman shared, “We are excited to welcome Dr. Aldridge to the T.R. Miller family. His diverse background, leadership experience, and passion for education will be tremendous assets to our students, staff, and community.”

T.R. Miller High School Welcomes Ronnie Cottrell as New Head Football Coach
Brewton, AL – April 8, 2025 –
Brewton City Schools is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ronnie Cottrell as the Athletic Director and head coach of the T.R. Miller Tigers football team. A distinguished alumnus and former player, Coach Cottrell brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to his alma mater.
Coach Cottrell, a graduate of T.R. Miller High School, began his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater. He further honed his skills as a student assistant at Troy University. Over the years, he has held head coaching positions at various high schools in Alabama, including Kinston, Flomaton, W.S. Neal, Carroll, Alma Bryant, Chickasaw, and most recently, Mobile Christian. At Mobile Christian, he led the team to a state championship and an impressive 15-0 finish in the 2023 season. Cottrell also won a state championship in 2012 as he coached Godby High School in Florida to a 5A title. Cottrell coached Godby from 2010-2013 before returning back to the high school ranks in Alabama.
In 2024, Coach Cottrell ventured into collegiate coaching, becoming the inaugural head football coach at Lighthouse Christian College in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Despite the challenges of building a new program, he successfully led the team through its first season.
Throughout his head coaching career, Coach Cottrell has amassed a remarkable record of 176-99, securing region championships at multiple schools along with his two state championships. His dedication to developing young athletes both on and off the field has earned him widespread respect in the coaching community.
"Returning to T.R. Miller High School is a full-circle moment for me," said Coach Cottrell. "I’m honored to lead the Tigers and build upon the rich tradition of excellence that this program embodies."
