Congratulations to our Superintendent, Dr. Kevin Wieseman, on the successful defense of his dissertation and the completion of his doctoral journey! This is a personal and professional accomplishment that reflects his dedication to lifelong learning and educational excellence.

Since joining Brewton City Schools in October 2024, Dr. Wieseman has led our district through an incredible period of growth and achievement. Under his leadership:

• Every Brewton City School earned an "A" on the 2025–2026 Alabama State Report Card.
• Brewton Elementary School achieved an outstanding 99% Third Grade Reading Proficiency, ranking among the Top 3 school systems in Alabama.
• The district has continued to strengthen student achievement, improve instructional practices, and foster a culture of excellence across our schools.

Congratulations, Dr. Wieseman! We appreciate the vision, leadership, and commitment you bring to Brewton City Schools each day. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to all that lies ahead.

To help reduce absences, here is a vacation planner idea from BCS with our school breaks for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

All BCS schools and offices will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.

TRM graduation for Friday night is still scheduled to take place at Municipal Stadium at 7 p.m.

BCS will have Summer Office Hours from 8 am to 4 pm starting May 26 through July 24. Offices will be closed on Fridays.

National Public School Volunteer Week 2026 is observed April 20–24, 2026. This week honors parents, caregivers, and community partners who support student learning, school climate, and classroom activities.
