
BCS will be closed Friday, Oct. 17 for Fall Break.


BCS will be closed Monday, Oct. 20 for Report Card Day. Teachers will work this day, but there will be no school for students.


BCS Updates:
BCS will continue with the dress code that was revised before the start of the school year last year (7/15/2024).
Also, the BCS BOE will discuss a revision in policy to address the recent legislation act passed in May, known as the FOCUS ACT. This prohibits the use of personal electronic devices during the instructional day. This will be looked at at the next board meeting which is Monday, July 28, at 5 p.m. in the BCS Board Room.

The Alabama State Department of Education needs your input! Please take a moment to complete the mandatory Alabama Parent Survey — it only has 8 short questions and helps improve services for students with disabilities. BES and BMS will continue to participate in the CEP program for the 2025-2026 school year. Students will receive free breakfast and lunch through this program.

School Supply Kits for all BCS grades (Pre-K through 12) will be purchased this year for all students. They will be given out the first day of school. Students taking art and other special area classes may need other items and fees to pay. Please reach out to your individual school for more information.
