Welcome Caroline Schultz
My name is Caroline Schultz, and I am very excited to begin working with students, faculty and administration at TR Miller High School this Fall. My husband, Brandon, and I have lived in Brewton for seven years, been married for 16 years, and have three children- Sarah Paige (8th grader at BMS), Jack (5th grader at BMS) and John Wesley (kindergartener at BES).
Although I was born in Tuscaloosa, I was raised near Brewton in Monroeville, Alabama. After high school (MCHS), I graduated from Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. With no definitive plans after graduation, I took a position as the activity director for Monroe Manor nursing home. A year into that position, I was invited to apply for a special education opening at Excel High School for students with Emotional Disabilities. Soon after accepting and working in the field of special education, I returned to school (University of South Alabama) and completed my Master’s degree in Special Education.
Students requiring special education services (Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Emotional Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities) have been my passion for 21 years now, and I am looking forward to transitioning from Brewton Middle School to working with high school resource and self-contained students at TRM in pursuing their postsecondary goals. GET READY!!
If I’m not at school, you will likely find me attending TRM and BLAST swim team events (all of my kids), working in my yard, or competing in a game of kick-ball or Nines (card game) with my kids and husband.
It is AWESOME to be a TRM Tiger!!!
