• TRM Scholars Bowl Takes 1st in the CACC Varsity Scholars Bowl Tournament for 2019-2020.

    Congratulations to the TRM Scholars Bowl team! They placed 1st in the CACC Varsity Scholars Bowl Tournament for 2019-2020.
    Team members are Sam LoDuca, Clay Lang, Will Terrell, Matthew Bishop and Ella Hart. The sponsor is Julia Clements. Matthew Bishop was the over-all highest scorer.

  • Congratulations!!! Scholar’s Bowl Varsity

    Congratulations!!! Scholar’s Bowl Varsity won 4-0 defeating Escambia, Fairhope, Faith, and Foley. JV won 2-2 defeating Escambia and Faith. It’s GREAT to be a Miller Tiger!!!  (nov. 15, 2019)

  • STATE CHAMPS for the second year in a row!!

    The TRM Scholars Bowl team won the Alabama Scholastic Challenge 1st Place 2019 High School Division II State Championship and are the 2019 State 3A Champions. Matthew Bishop was MVP and Overall High Scorer for State Division II.

  • Congratulations to the TRM Scholars Bowl team for winning 2018 State Champ

    Congratulations to the TRM Scholars Bowl team for winning 2018 State Champ Division II  (IA-4A, public and private division) at Jefferson State Community College in Hoover on Friday, April 13.  The sponsor is Ms. Julia Clements and the students are Matthew Bishop, Ora Nelson. 
    Neelee Harrison, Tucker McDaniel
    Garrett Cave, and Cole Jernigan.

    Matthew Bishop was the tournament overall scorer.  Last year he was 5th when T.R. Miller also qualified for  the state finals.

    TRM won by defeating Altamont (a perennial state qualifier and former state champ) by taking the first 2 of the best of 3 Championship series.

  • Scholars Bowl

    Scholars Bowl Wins Small School Region 2017
    Congratulations to T.R. Millers Scholars Bowl team.  They went 7-0 in ASCA Small School region play, qualifying for ASCA (Alabama Scholastic Competition Association) State Finals.  They will  compete on February 28, 2017 with the top 8 schools (1A-4A) for the state championship.  Miller has taken 2nd place overall two times.

    T.R. Miller's Scholars' Bowl team went to the  Baldwin County Scholars’ Bowl Competition on 1/24/17 and the Varsity won 3 of 4 matches.

     T.R. Miller belongs to ASCA, a state association, that allows schools to compete at the district, region, and state level.  Schools, as they compete, are not divided by 1A-7A, magnet, or private.  At these ASCA meets, Miller must compete with all types of schools.  When it comes to the state finals. the competition is divided into two divisions with Miller now being in Division II (1A-4A).

    As part of the Alabama State Competition Association, T.R. Miller has 

    Qualified for the State Finals 2001, 2011, 2012, 2014

    Qualified for Regional play in 2001, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

     

    Starting back in 2005, ASCA created a Small School division to allow only 1A-4A public schools to compete.  T.R. Miller has 

    Won its Region in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

    In 2013, ASCA started a State Championship of Small Schools from the Region Winners and Runner Ups. T.R. Miller has 

    Come in 2nd place in 2013, 2014  and 6th in 2015 and 7th in 2016
