Karen Kirkland graduated from Freed- Hardeman College with a B.S. degree in teaching mathematics.  She received her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida.  She taught advanced math at Hale County High School for 18 years before moving to Brewton.  She teaches 7th grade math at Brewton Middle School.
