Degrees and Certifications:
Hi! My name is Mandy Taylor, and I am one of the Special Education Paraprofessionals at T.R.Miller. I believe being an educator has to be the most rewarding career choice. For me, it's more than being a support for our teachers and our students. We are blessed with the opportunity every day to aide in transforming the minds and lives of every single student who walks through the doors of T.R. Miller High School. My passion is helping students grow in confidence and courage as they gain the perspective of "I am an overcomer, and I can and will do hard things successfully".
A native of Monroe County, I am a 1996 graduate of Monroe Academy. From there I attended Alabama Southern Community College and pursued a career in banking. I worked in banking and finance until 2012. August of 2013 I began working as a paraprofessional in the Special Education department at Excel High School. My family and I moved to Brewton in 2014 where we have settled happily. I started out as a substitute teacher at Brewton City Schools in 2016, and the folllowing year I was hired as a full-time para for BES. I have had the absolute pleasure of working at BES, BMS, and TRM. It has been the most beautiful journey, and I look forward to many more years playing a small role in building successful T.R. Miller students.
